A good starter gun?

I have never bought a new rifle. All mine are used and came to me second if not many handed. I was given a very well used Lee metford .303 and used it for 20 years to hunt big game. Never was I asked what MOA did it shoot at 100 or 300 yards...rather how was the hunting going and did you get anything. It filled the larder for many years as well as fun plinking ( when ammo was cheap). It did it job until the levers came along and my 1906 30-30 and 38-55 rifles took over. In the bush they did their job, and at the range, many other rifle shooters try them out. Great fun as it should be.

Thank for info guys.
I really dont think this is about keeping him interested.
Should have seen his grin when he was shooting CX4 and .38 special revolvers they got at DVC :D
