again a boring story ....

just came back from a little gem spot in our territory where we saw black bears and a lot of grizzly tracks ... and moose ...

before i continue as we are on the hunting part of the forum if you have any anger problem against hunters do not post here.

now as some may remember i found a load of Varget that worked very well with my wife full stock. that load was over the max limit (.01 grain) but very safe in her rifle. it was with a 200 grains nosler partition again a boring combination ... a little overkill for a black bear but again very accurate and who knows what other game can show up ....

it was around 6pm yesterday on that place that we saw that light blonde bear, he was feeding on grass and was not aware of us not even 40 meters from him. it was in a little clearing with a wood bordering that.

she decided to take it and i was here to back up just in case with the 375 ruger (a little more overkill but being in the wood with the new king is an experience every hunter should try once in his/her life).

well it was time for the shot, the bear didnt show any impact and ran away without time for a second shot or a back up and fled away and he was in the wood ...

after 20 minutes of waiting we found some blood very clear (thinking it was lung) and here we go in the wood to found some more light blood spots against some plants ...

then here it was just lying on the ground among broken branches, flowers and grass ...

hit a little in the back but still double lunged with a lot of blood sprayed on of his side. so we found him, the bullet didnt stay inside.

by no means this is a monster or a record book but this a nice bear with good meat that will be used.

to finish the story sorry to tell that no pictures here .... yes we forgot cameras and phones ...

will try to post a picture later ...

hope you enjoyed the reading.
