I have an opportunity to come across a very nice rifle, a Remington Model 700 in .243 Win. The only problem is that the rifle is a Left Hand model, and I'm right handed. I really like the rifle, and would use it primarily as a small game gun. Is it worth it, or should I just shop around for a similar gun in RH model? It seems a shame, because it's such a nice gun. Besides, it comes with scads of ammo and is fully bedded. (BTW - now I know exactly what it's like for a leftie to fire a right handed gun! Kind of cool, actually....:D )

If it was a "deal" I'd buy it. Although I am a leftie I prefer right handed bolt rifles. In fact I've never owned a left handed bolt rifle. But I might be willing to make an exception if the right "deal" came along... ;)

I'm lefty and have shot right. It's not the BEST but it can be done easily enough. Depends on how good of a deal you're getting, and your comfort level, whether or not down the road you'll end up re-purchasing just to get a lefty afterall.
