I've been told I dont know $hit about this coyote hunting here ,but this week I spent a few mornings showing a friend what I do when out coyote hunting when I try ! After a few missing shots this week as I let my friend do the shooting and I believe after being caught off guard for the first few times as these yotes like to full stream run at the caller he is getting the hang of being ready. Today I was on the trigger

This is Central Ontario so Mike and I headed to a spot and got setup at first light. I started the call at low on a cottontail Distress for a couple seconds. Next call is a little higher and every couple minutes the volume goes up. The wind is blowing from the south/east so volume is needed a bit more. 17 minutes into the set with the lightning Jack on 40 I spot the first yote running right at the caller from over the rise in front of me, swings to the right and back around the rise and was heading to the left. I was ready when he entered the dip and I WOLFed him and he slowed at around 150 yards and the 243 anchoured him.

I quickly changed the caller to the Kihi and within 1 minute another yote came over the rise to the caller and stopped. I quickly set the cross hairs and shot and Nope I must have shot under him at 80 yards <_<

I'm finding that these 25-27 biPods are a little short if your sitting along a feild edge as the farmers disc's are cutting down the earth and the Bipod is sitting low from you sitting against feild edge trees or fence posts.

We need a 30 inch Bipod for this type of farm land hunting.

O well One down this morning
