A little help with my Marlin 39a please

I have a Marlin 39a pistol grip that I am looking to sell on the EE. It is a very low round count. Serial makes it a 1955 it is M 2###. Looks all original, in great shape, a couple small case marks and one blemish in the blue, but it is in fantastic shape. Great bore, functions well. If anyone has anything to add to what I may or may not know, please chime in.
I am looking for some help with a price. I do want it to go to a good home but have some bills to pay and need to get a good price for it.

M is from 1955.
It would be in the transition period when Marlin started using MicroGroove rifling but may be Ballard rifled.
It is also not tapped for a scope base.
Try checking rimfire central and scroll down to Marlin and there is a separate site for Lever actions.
A 1956 model in the straight stocked version recently sold for around $500 and it had the Micro Groove rifling.
Can not tell from the pictures if the barrel is 20 or 24 inches?

You could also check the Marlin owners forum as well. The only issue is both of these sites are American so not sure if that would give you an accurate assessment of it's value here, although it should be very close
 
You should have no problem selling it for $500 as horseman2 indicated. If I didn't already have a lever I would take it off your hands
