I'm making a new thread with a comment i left at the end of another thread, simply because i think its worth having more visibility, given all the recent bashing :

I just acquired a PT945 from Badger Arms.

Couldn't be happier with the gun, absolutely thrilled with Armand and his staff. Sure i had to be a little patient, sure it was a little longer than usual and a little harder to get a hold of them when i needed, but Armand was honest throughtout the whole process and transparent about everything. I don't have a single reason to be dissatisfied with Badger Arms.

I ordered the gun end of February
My credit card was billed a couple days later
took another 3-4 weeks to get the gun.
So all in all, over a month.

The delays were not caused on purpose, it was an unfortunate situation caused by a couple of different factors that happenned all at once, NOT a deliberate act of negligence towards a customer. Believe me, Armand would be the first one to want to avoid those delays and take care of his customers. Which is precisely the reason why he moved his store to a bigger one, put in more phone lines and hired more staff.

Again : people need to learn that patience, understanding, and positive attitude goes a long way (for all parties involved) in this type of situation and when dealing with honest human beings. The contrary can do no good.

I hope this puts some perspective in people's minds before they start the bashing. I really feel like some of you need to learn the meaning of "cutting someone a break when he needs it". Armand is doing all he possibly can to stay on top of things. So if some of you are dissatisfied with something, thats fine but please, think things through before you kick someone in public while he's down. Before doing so, ask yourself this : is it really necessary? is it really the best way and the only option i have to try and make things better?

my 0.02

I totally agree with you, Armand and Barb have been honest with me and explained everything to me as well, no surprises, very good communication.
I have no complaints and plan to purchase my next gun from them as well.
Sure it may have taken a bit longer than planned, but due to circumstances i think they have done very well and I have no complaints.
thanks again bager!

For the price I got on my Glock 17 (and free shipping) I'm willing to wait a while. And I'm in Ontario - the land of CFO bureaucratic foot dragging when it comes to restricted transfers, so I'm already used to it.

The world isn't going to end if my G17 takes a while to get to me... And I wouldn't get up on an anonymous internet soap box and hurl personal insults while coming close to committing libel/slander. I'd be a man, get on the phone, and make a polite call - man to man. Whining, screaming, getting angry - they'll get you absolutely nowhere.

It's the 80/20 principle. 80 percent of your profits come from 20 percent of your customers, and 80 percent of your complaints come from 20 percent of your customers.

I'm not in the firearms business - I'm in the restaurant business, where customer service is the primary difference between being busy and permanently closing the doors. Customers that cuss out or disrespect the servers, or complain solely just to get a discount - they get nothing from me. They get told that they can take their business elsewhere. Customers that act with a bit of class, understanding, and respect? They get the moon, the stars, the sun, and everything else I can scrape up for them. They are the ones I want back. They are the ones I will go the extra mile for.

And that's all it takes - a bit of class, understanding, and respect.

And to people "needing" their firearms by a certain date, or needing them delivered fast - PLAN BETTER... Start the process sooner, or go with Plan B. Quit whining, keep calm, and carry on.

The way some of the posters here carry on you'd think they were 18 years old and had never held a gun (or a woman) before. Can't get the one you want? There are plenty of other models to choose from, and more than one place to pick them up.

I purchased my first hand gun from Armand and was very pleased with the service.

The reason why is great communication.... there was some confusion about the product that I wanted to purchase but they were very quick in responses through email (in a few hours) and even got a chance to talk to Armand who took some time out of his busy Saturday to chat for a couple of minutes which put my mind at ease.

Mistakes/misunderstandings happen.... its all about how you treated and Armand is a stand up guy.

Now don't get me started on the ATT process..... 8 weeks and still waiting

Oh its the LTATT and I am in Ontario, and from others peoples experience this seems to be the norm right now.

Sometimes I think the establishment does this just to see how far they can push law abiding citizens.

how far they can push law abiding gun owners to discourage them from owning guns is more like it....

They should be help financially liable for not issueing your LTATT right away, therefore preventing you from using your gun as you intend and the club membership you paid for...but thats another debate :p

Preaching to the converted brother.... fingers crossed the club gets my ATT for this weekend since they are calling for 16C and some sun.

So you've purchased a GSG i assume? because there WAS a bad batch of 10,000 guns they had to scrap at the factory, there's a thread on this. So don't blame Badger for that, be reasonnable for christ sake...

Secondly, have you ever had to move a small business while staying open, take calls, deal with the CFOs, new phone lines, new online registration system, etc???? because if you had, you would probably understand what Armand is going through a little better.

Badger arms is not this multi-million dollar company that has one building for customer service, another for shipment, etc. Badger Arms is Armand and his wife and a couple employees, trying to earn an honest living and stay on top of things during a difficult time and a LOT of unwanted, unfortunate delays. He's had to deal with a lot and he's taken every possible measure to explain his situation and right his wrongs.

But hey, if it makes you feel better to whine about it in public, be my guest...

I wasn't told about the bad batch or the move when I placed my order... And when I asked for a refurn I got a bogus ref#.... and when I asked the CFO to see if there was any transfer started at all I was told no.

If I would of got the warning I would of placed my order thru Blue Line... I shouldn't have to wait beacuse I wasn't informed... and the bad batch was taken care of 2 weeks ago easy...

I dont care who runs what... when you have time to take someones money, you should have time to deal with their order...

well ordering from blueline wouldn't have helped, they were in the same situation Badger Arms were, they,re the importer for the GSG and are the ones who made the announcement.

You weren't told about the bad batch probably because they didnt even know about it when you ordered. You weren't told about the move because they were still looking for a place to move in. Come on now.

I'm sure Armand didn't give you a bogus ref number. getting a number wrong while giving it to you is more likely what happenned. Why would you spread around that kind of BS before even talking to Armand about it? Tell me, why would Armand even WANT or NEED to give you a bogus ref number anyway???

geeze....
I'm not even gonna keep arguing with you on this...Be the way you want to be...

Just call the CFO and say I have a transfer in my name I want to check up what is the referance number and they can look it up I've done it before they can see all the transfers that are pending on your file..

We placed an order with GSG for 1,500 firearms. They said it will ship next week since they have to do paper work and put the order together. We said that’s fine we want it shipped next day air. We contacted them the next week to get the shipping information and they informed us that they have a production delay that caused them to scrap 10,000 units due to a machine that malfunctioned. They had to change our order to 250 and said we will ship the order next week. They shipped the order through next day air mail and then US customs sat on our shipment since everything that goes through the EU goes through Alaska cargo airport. That took 2.5 weeks to clear and then ended up in the Vancouver airport. We contacted customs and asked if our shipment has been cleared so we can pick it up. That took 1 week because the guy that was clearing our shipment went on vacation before finishing it. We were told it will clear in 1 day it took 7. After we picked up the order we had to verify all the serial numbers and make sure they were correct that took 1 day. We had issues with the online registration of the GSG with the CFO that took 3 days to clear up because 6 never registered properly so we had to double check everything to make sure the mistake wasn't on our end. Once that was all cleared up we packed them up and sent them to all the back orders we are currently sold out again and have already placed our next order before they even came in we expect them to ship the next order in 14 days from now.

Best regards,
Scott
