[25596] G-Force ZF-Montageshiene zu SG550-553, Stahl Picatinney Stk. a Fr.

$260.00

Translation:
A bit of unobtainium from Switzerland. A 10mm Sig receiver rail that allows co-witness of dot optics and iron sights.

Counting the days till arrival. The receipt came in the mail today. I am hoping the rail arrives only shortly hereafter.

Pics and range report will follow.

gunfactory.ch rocks!

how much difference is this from the BT rail? Its higher right? Hard to see in the picture.

It is 6mm shorter, and will align at the same level as the B&T Quad rail.

When I get the part I'll mic it and the common B&T for comparison. If its a winner, maybe a local vendor can start stocking them here.

Dealing with them was quite easy BTW. Politely explained I was using Babelfish to translate to German, though I also had a friend in Vienna help with some of the more catastrophic aspects of my sentences.

$215 straight up for the part, and $45 for the International shipping.

They accepted my VISA seamlessly.

According to xe.com, we are pretty much par with the Swiss Franc right now. $1.00 CDN = $1.0306 CHF

None apparent

I said 'thank-you' on my request form, my VISA number was billed and I received a Priority Courier snail-mail notice stating that my part was now being shipped.

I'm not aware of any export restrictions on their end. If there are hoops to jump through, I am entirely presuming that they are relatively trivial and the vendor is negotiating these themselves.

Their website welcomes International transactions, so...

Yeah.

Gives me formidable carbine performance:
  • 1:7 14.3" barrel
  • co-witnessed Micro T1
  • quad rail with Larue stubby grip and IndexClips
  • lightweight Scout scope

...all without some of the SAN weight that can occur when you accessorize this rifle series.

This is the beginning of it. More parts en route:

I may or may not revert to the classic hand guards. Time will tell.

Yeah I have the basic BT rail but havent put my micro T1 on it because of looks, height and weight. the setup you got looks like its gonna be good.

That is highway robbery. What's it made of? If it's aluminum it should be half the price or less. When I made my rail I did a very small production run and I was able to price them for $100 shipped and that was with mounting hardware and allen key (yes I would have made money if the T97 shipment wasn't freaking stopped at the border).

Looking at the rail design they didn't have as many functions to do on the CNC machine either, but I could be wrong about that. I didn't write the program.;)

Do you have one of these?

Do you have one of these?

No, I don't own anything from Swiss Arms. But I know what it costs to make a rail.

I'm shocked at the price. Is it made out of steel?

If not, they must be marking it up triple their cost, at least.

EDIT: I just re-red this, and please don't misunderstand, I don't want to question your purchase. I'm sure it's a fantastic piece of kit. They are just making great money off it.

Thanks for clarifying. Peace.

I have no issues paying for it, because no other such piece of kit (to the best of my knowledge) exists here in Canada.

If someone made it here, I'd buy it here. Else, it is what it is and 2 hours of consulting work will see it paid in full.

Cheers.

Is that a clamping dovetail up front??

There is your price right there. This thing appears to have some unique added features.

Here's the google translation of the blurb about it :D:
height 10mm. This assembly is attached by means of a centering screw (SW 7). In conjunction with the Aimpoint Comp series may m/m2 are inspected by the target device. The target point corresponds exactly with the grain. Made of steel, black teniferier

So it is made out of steel. I noticed the piece up front but I wasn't sure exactly what it was. So perhaps I should have kept my big trap shut.

That is a cool web site by the way!
