I was doing some reloading this evening on .45 ACP, 50 rounds in total. All brass were lubed.
On the last few brass that I was resizing and seating the bullet, I felt an unusual stiffer than normal resistance when seating the bullet and crimping. I looked at the finished cartridge and I can see a bulge where the bottom of the bullet ends somewhat and you can see outline the outside of the brass.
I put this aside.
A few more reloads went fine and I came across the same thing again. It was weird. The two finished rounds did not look right at all.
I proceeded to take to pull the bullet, save the powder and de-prime.
I attempted to resize it again and still had some resistance. I looked at both head stamps and it shows as A-MERC or MERC. I proceeded to toss these two away. For sure these won't even chamber correctly.
I quick Googling seems to point that these are thicker than normal brass, and it isn't a good brass to reload.
Just a heads up.
