No this is not about the CFC or anything.
On the British Medals forum they have a medal registry for re-uniting medals with families or thier original groups. I was thinking that maybe we could do the same, except for guns. This could be used to find bolts, etc... that are needed to complete a gun.
It would just be a sticky post at the top of the forum. The rules would be that you would only post what you need and if you have something you PM who's looking. This way it keeps the thread short and to the point. This is mainly something that milsurp collectors care about and I don't think it belongs in the EE or other forums.
There has to be a little bit of morals here. I don't want to see anyone with a needed bolt asking an outragious price because they know its sought after.
I know this might not be welcomed by all and some might think that it is fruitless but i have seen it work on the other forum countless times. I have alos seen it work on the P38 forum with matching mags.
So for instance:
I am looking for a G98 Bolt with a Serial number 1801a. So if anyone has it, please let me know.
If you guys want to do this, then lets keep it going.
