Well I brought the New Year Perfect ! Number #1 for 2016
Setup at first light and the wind is strong out of the west. Set the caller straight in front of me.

After 18 minutes of Jack talk the male came over onto the hill in the hardwoods and sat and watched for 5 minutes and never moved. He was behind two hardwood trees and I could not shoot. I shut off the caller and in a couple seconds he stands up turns and walks and I hit the mute button to turn back on the sound and he stopped right in a opening giving me a shot between trees in the hardwood above that finger of clearing. - Bad Move !

The hardwoods that is on the hill is where he was shot.

My second set with the wind in my face again and 20 minutes of calling I here a noise to my right and out pops a coyote at 15 yards. He's now up wind of me but I can't move no how and all I can see is his eyes looking everywhere and he turns and goes back the way he came and right into a No shot zone for me.

The tracks in the snow at the edge, was where he was standing from my sitting spot just on the other side of them trees on the right.

>>>>>> If that's your truck on centre line parked facing the road and your callin there's two coyotes just up the road from were your truck is strait south 2000 yards or so <<<<<<<

lol So things just were not working real good for me today either lol

Good looking coyote.....Looks like you had a little better conditions then me this morning...
Way to go, especially with the winds...
Congrats on the success

Nice work man!! Trees...I dont see much of those in my calling grounds lol. How do you like your Shockwave? Whats your battery life like on those? I need 16 good batteries(Eneloops) to last a day with my Fury II.

NIce job on the first of the year. :)

To bad that other guy was so close, but it fun and exciting to just be that close and watch em do their thing sometimes.

I also liking that a fwe people are now starting to post up some of their stories about going out coyote hunting. Just gives me that much more drive to go.

Scott, the battery life in the unit is great. I only use the fox pro rechargeables and i'll get 3 or 4 days of 3-4 sets. Problem I have is the darn batteries in the remote. I get 2 times out and that's with the Duracell red.

beautifull coyote.keep up the good work.im still a woosy to the cold yet.have to settle in as its a shock to the system after the warm weather.it has begun.look forward to more pics and stories

Good show...

I'm just about dying to get out now I even made it to the gun club yesterday to zero in 4 different coyote rigs all are now zeroed at 200 yards.

I even bought an older used snowmobile just before Christmas so I could get further in off the beaten path and hunt where there isn't any pressure.

Just need the time to go now...

So I have to ask ... Cause I just bought the shock wave ..... The batteries don't last ????? The remote dies on you please private message me and if possible can you give me some input on your shock wave thanks

I have lithium AA batteries in my remote, 2 batteries have lasted a full year,,they are quite expensive but last a very long time. I usually do 10 or more stands in a day and batteries are usually an issue but I really push the sound out there.

Cheers!!
