So last week was a wee bit hectic with work, but I did have the pleasure of speaking with Mr Rempel twice. The first time was to talk about my chamber dimensions as he found a slight issue with the reamer I had ordered and wanted go over my wants before he cut the chamber. He ended up using one of his own reamers. The second time was to grab my email off me so that he could send me a tracking number.

I apologize about the bad pictures, I'll grab better ones when I do load testing.



 
Specs are

Barnard model P with ejector- sourced from Hirsch Precision
Krieger 308 1-13 finish length of 30" medium Palma-sourced from Hirsch Precision
CCS B1 stock, imported by Corlanes for me.
Warner rear site imported by Corlanes
Riles tallboy 30mm front site-imported by a fellow shooting enthusiast.
Pelican 1750 gun case-I can't honestly remember the website right now.

Mr Rempel chambered it so that a Lapua 155gr jammed to the lands will sit at 3.850"

You'll also notice a second barrel in there. It's a bartelien 308 medium Palma 1-13 twist. When I was on the phone with Peter he happened to mention that the bartelien was still listed at the old exchange rate pricing, and that triggered the inner deal getter in me. I snagged up the Krieger at the same time, and decided to chamber it instead.

Now I have to figure out a stock maker and want to snag up a PGW Target action to put the Bartelien on but that's a different story.

3.850 for a .308? That's some long 308 imo.

Hey keegs what was going on about the reamers you chose? Where did you get them? How did they screw them up?

That Barnard rifle looks pretty awesome.
 
I ordered the 2012 fullbore reamer from Ptg. The mess up was with my wants. My loaded rounds have a neck of 0.338" and the fullbore has a neck of 0.345 or 0.346 I'll look when I get home. Too much neck clearance for what I want. Not a Ptg mess up, but my mess up in ordering it.

My learning experience was rushing to buy a reamer, and ordering via the specs in my head and not on paper. Was it hazardous no, was it not what I wasn't yes. My fault completely.
