Hey everybody, the stars really aligned nicely today. Mamabear, my little man Ajay and I went up into the mountains to do some rock hounding and exploring today and we took my Parker-Hale Supreme No1 with us for bear protection. Turns out it was a good idea as we ran into no less than five black bears including a sow and two cubs this morning. We found a really pretty spot in a creek bed and the sun came out just in time to take some pictures of my favorite sporter and people. Hope you guys enjoy even though its a sporterized rifle!

Hopefully you guys don't mind the onslaught of old sporterized milsurp rifle pictures. I couldn't resist with the light and location being flawless. I plan on doing this more and more with each of the pieces in the collection. I need to find or make up some 280 Ross cartridges so I can do this with my M-10 next time out. The old Parker-Hale looks pretty good for a $75 rifle though!

Good pictures. They are great Rifles! I have a few of them and like them
.303 hunting rifles have taken their share of game, right up there with 3006.

Mr Dynamite, no sheep today. Five black bears and a lot of fresh tracks, a musk rat, falcon of some kind, some rabbits, one squirrel and a coyote. Was an awesome day.The mosquitos haven't even started raging up there yet, but man was that water ever cold. All of the rivers in the area are high but the snow is still coming out fast.

This one is the most comfortable hunting rifle I own and with the Lee's proven track record I have no problem trusting it with my life or my families. I love my Rosses on the range but I can't say I have that kind of faith in them.

I'm positive the little guy already wants to hunt with it. Always asks "Daddy shoots it?". ha ha.

I wouldn't necessarily think of those guns as sporterized - I guess they are, but the quality of the work and the skill and experience of the people who did the work almost makes them a different sub-category to me.
