So, I am curious if anyone knows why PPU makes differing size bullets for "8mm". I have a couple hundred 175 grain PSP BT that are marked as .322" - they are listed on Prvi Partizan's website as Product Number B-349, and are loaded by them in both their factory 8x57 IS and 8mm Mauser ammunition - in the 8x57 IS (presumably to C.I.P. pressure) at 775 m/s (2,543 fps); in the 8mm Mauser (presumably to SAAMI pressure) at 710 m/s (2,329 fps).
In both chamberings, they also load bullet B-350, which is 175 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail, but described as .323", with identical velocities listed.

Not getting reply from them - wondering if anyone here knows why they would do two different diameters??

ht tps://www.prvipartizan.com/search_rbl.php (need to fix the link) - "Components" > "Rifle Bullets" > "8mm" > 8th line down to find the bullet.

Same place - search "Rifle Ammunition", then 8x57 IS and separately 8mm Mauser to see the factory loadings. In each case, click on "Ballistics" to see the specs.

Gets curiouser - the ones I have came from TradeEx. No longer listed. They do list 175 grain PSPBT in 8mm but now at .323" - no longer in stock, but also not listed on Prvi Partizan website??

Just like the 303 British and 7.62 Russian, war time manf created some variations in dimensions. PRVI makes alot of stuff for milsurp so have to account for the most popular variants.

Slug your bore and use the bullet closest in diameter.

Can offer both 322 and 323 variants.

There are several different european military "8mm" rifle cartridges. The most well known 8mm Mauser from 1888 is .318" modified in 1905 to .323" 8mm Mauser.

8mm Danish Krag .322
8mm Lebel also .323"
8mm Guedes (Portuguese) .326"
8mm Murata (Jap).329"

There are two (Westley Richards post 1910) British sporting rounds in .330" of which one is called the 318 Rimless N-E though these may be obsolete and mostly ignored by component manufacturers.
