Does anyone know anything about the Parker-Hale 1200 Safari? I have one in 30-06, no real attachment to it other than it belonged to my father (the thing is a tack driver though, I will give it that); I took it out hunting last year and had a nice buck in the cross hair, ***CLICK**** was all she said. The firing pin is not making contact with the primer; I know the last time I cleaned it, the striker assembly at the rear of the bolt got turned so that the lug went into the notch at the side, the striker moved forward and the firing pin was extended out of the bolt face.
I guess my question is, when I got the striker pulled out and rotated again (a ##### of a job, by the way), is it possible I turned it the wrong way? Is there something threaded in there that, if turned the wrong way, would cause the firing pin to be pulled too far back?
Never had any problem with it before.
Anyone else ever run up against this?
Ideas?
Solutions?
Thanks,
Lupo
