I'm trying to figure out if they only made Beretta 92's with a frame mounted safety in '75-'76, or were they produced right up into the 80's? I was sure that I had read that the 92 (no S,F or B) with a frame mounted safety stayed in production for quite some time, but now I can't find where I saw that. Can somebody answer this one for me?

I got a few mint israeli military marked surplus beretta 92's that had frame mounted safeties that were made in the '80's.

There were a couple of special versions of 92 in the 90's that had frame mounted safety, 92 Stock and 92 Steel-I

Also Taurus was a licensed factory at one time and the original Taurus PT92 had a frame mounted safety and was produced for quite awhile.
