Have you heard of this
DPM Systems Advanced Recoil Reduction System - Mechanical
They can be found at

They say it will fit the 1911 full size (but will it fit the GSG 1911?)

Maybe somebody else might be interested.

And why would I want to reduce the recoil on a 22lr. Why not?
I only shoot .22s. I enjoy them. I'll shoot 22 Magnums in my revolvers
because they came with the extra cylinders.
That's about just as much of a bang (noise, recoil and hit on the wallet) that I'll accept for myself.

If that gadget works (and compensates this old guy's trembling hands). Why not?
 
I have personal experience dealing directly with this company and this was a couple of years ago but I can say they provide best class service. They are all the way in Greece but they were right on top of responding to emails and shipping was fast considering the distance. I haven't even checked on these guys in a couple of years but hopefully they are doing well considering the service they provide. I wouldn't be shy to contact them directly at all

K well to answer your question no it won't. The guide rod in a gsg is completely different then in a regular 1911. Of you have a gsg I would suggest breaking it down and takin a look. Should be pretty self explanatory.
 
This system and pistol is buid to take 12/18lbs of recoil... .22lr make what 1/2lbs of recoil. Its just a question of math.

Dear 3strokes,

That guide rod wouldn't fit as it's a diffrent design.
