Hi,

I just found this P08 Luger holster in the local woodwork. There was a WWI era wooden base mag in it, but no gun.

Although it will probably be for sale soon as I do not having 12.6 to own the gun that goes with it, I decided to post some pics as it may be of interest to some folks on here while it's still mine.

The holster is the very early military production, and possibly the earliest documented example from maker F.W. KINKLE.

From my research the 1910 holsters are very difficult to find, even in comparison to those made in 1911. The condition is above average for holsters of this era, and is complete with pullstrap and no repairs.

The holster is also nicely unit marked:

The ink stamp FAR 53 1910 is the 53rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1910.

To the left, the TB stamp is for Train Battalion, which would be attached to the field artillery regiment. This info I discovered from posting on WAF.

So just where would one go poking around to find this holster, if I may ask??

It just helps to always poke around. As soon as I opened the flap I knew this was not your average luger holster and it was in a cabinet of other misc. gun parts and random stuff.

Also, for this era the holster is in very good shape, not as minty to as the WWII examples but this one is 102 years old!
