The Austrian Army's sniper platform of choice since 1969, the Steyr SSG69 family of rifles has been at the center of a dedicated international following as a precision platform since its introduction decades ago. Today, Steyr offers limited production runs of the SSG69 PII, a heavy barreled, handy, intermediate-weight tactical rifle for counter-sniper and target purposes, continuing the legacy of this rifle. They're famous for their rear locking lugs (similar to an SMLE), their transparent rotary magazines for immediate identification of type and number of rounds remaining, and their beveled, rebated crown. These are rather hard to find most days of the week, but we just received one in .308 Winchester.
