guys we have some rain coming for the next few days and the freezers a bit wanting---
we set off after the lady finished work, gave her 10 minutes to chill, then off we went to a local property just up the road 5 minutes.

planning on harvesting a fallow deer fo the freezer.... an beating the big rains!

figured a sit an wait would be the best.... but it was cold so we slow stalked into position-

long story short, some fallow were out in the more open country but spooked as we had spooked some kangaroos just over a crest, close range...
so we diverted a little and chose to stalk into a gulley and wait where it meets 2 other gulleys nearing the bottom.

we sat an relaxed for only 5-10 minutes before some sticks snapping,,.... maybe it was the birds .?
no birds near the noises, so at the ready guns up an eyes scanning.

the lady alerted me to a sighting of Deer--- you beauty!

about 60 meters out stepped a Sambar deer! Beauty!!

i told her, if shes ready, when shes ready, to fire.

The Franchi barked and a 150gr Hot cor loaded at 2400fps struck home!
another deer popped up after the shot an was un aware--- but the franchi could see the first deer had sat down- so she shot it again to be sure. (good rule with sambar, if you can see em, shoot em again).
the second deer didnt know what was going on an froze..... i had a minute an decided i would take it, so the model Seven barked a 150gr hot cor out at 2600fps or so hitting home.

bot hdeer ran only 30-40 meters and expired.

how cool!!!
*may add some more photos later etc

Noice!! They looks delicious, scrumptious and sweet.

Also double noice to be able to use a 'can on your boomstick.
It looks like they are canned but it's just the way the photo has been 'blurred' giving that effect of fat barrels. 🤔🫣
We are not allowed cans
