A surplus ammunition question

I wouldn't take less than $500. 35-40 cents per round and $1-$2 per stripper clip if you break it down. And I might be a touch low on the ammo price.

As a side note, that Czech stuff is the most corrosive 7.62x39 on the market.

We did corrosive testing with about 20 different offerings back in 2017, and the Czech ammunition caused rust to form the fastest on a consistent basis.

I could dig up the results, and there should be an old thread lurking here with the testing, but I remember it causing red rust to form within an hour or so.

So be warned! ;-) As long as you clean appropriately, you won't have any issues. It shoots well.

The good stuff. Probably sold by wholesale sports

Does not match my experience and others. Best is Barnaul, followed by currently sold Chinese surplus. Barnaul is non corrosive and not being sold anymore, the Chinese stuff is corrosive and great range ammo.

Yes, Wholesale sports sold a lot of it. I had a few cases and the only thing I liked about it was that it was on stripper clips.

I've shot a ton of Chinese, Czech, Romanian, Russian, and now East German, Barnaul isn't surplus ammo. and off all the ones I listed, Czech takes the cake for sure, had most consistant velocities, and proved to be a tad more accurate than the rest as well.

Comrade, with cosmoline nothing is corrosive.

Best stripper clips, accurate, always goes bang!

I use fluid film
