A tale of customer service. Both companies are not sponsors here, but I will still protect the names of the guilty...

Two rifles ordered from two different stores. Store "C" worth about $5K, store "N" just under $2K.

Store "N" pleasant on the phone, emailed tracking number right away. Had some wierd things going on with canada post tracking, they looked into it and emailed and called twice about it. Ordered on a Thursday, recieved on the following Tuesday, shipped across BC from fairly remote small towns. Follow up call to make sure I got it with no issues. A+ all the way.

Store "C"- ordered semi-custom rifle april 4, 2014. Long process with the builder.. Go back and forth a few times. Call to cancel after 18 months and 6 days, not pleasant but no issue, the guys will have to call you back about deposit. Get a call the next day, my rifle is in and shipped out. Hmm wtf. I wait from friday till end of day the following Tuesday, then call and ask for a tracking number. By friday I see there are some issues with Canada post tracking... Store "C" tells me to call Canada post myself, nothing they can do once it's shipped... Canada post tells me nothing they can do for me, store "C" are the ones that have to file for the lost package and use the insurance...so should I call Visa and stop the payment to protect myself?

Now who gets my order next time and who will never get business again? And if you know me, gun stuff budget is fairly healthy...

PS the rifle from Store "N" is pretty nice, 3/4moa groups with the first couple loads I tried. Will post pics later.

It's in store "C"s hands until you receive it, they were Canada Post's customer, not you.

Good luck, hope it arrives safe and sound. I believe Visa gives you 30 days, and they usually will back you up.

For some reason photobucket isn't happy today. The rifle I recieved is a nosler patriot in 26 nosler. First handloads were right at 3/4 moa, with a bit of developement I wiuld think it will push 1/2 moa. The rifle thats "on its way" is also a 26, but in a fierce edge ti. Will be interesting to compare.

Well I finally recieved the second rifle, fierce edge ti in 26 nosler. Open the box an low and behold wrong stock.. I ordered a hydrodip painted stock. So an 18 month wait and close to what I ordered. So I gave the store a shout, talk to the owner and he had a few suggestions for making it right, came up with my own. Send me the value in bullets and we call it even. So not100% happy, but at least they made it even up which was likely more than many stores would do.
I posted a few pics on fb, and get a call and an email from store n. The have a fierce waiting to be picked up with a dipped stock, but the guywants a plain black. Cover the cost of the dip and we do a swap. So the right stock is on the way.

In the meantime the nosler rifle from store n got sold to a hunting buddy, right after I christened it with a 4x5 whitey on saturday.
