Thanks to everyone and yes that is the wad you see in the video.

One problem I have year after year is shooting high even though I know to hold where the head meets the feathers. I have my gun tuned really well and the pattern does not start to open til past 25 yds. From 0 to 25 my pattern is 2-6 inches and if you waver a bit or the bird moves like he did well you get to do more hunting.

I am blessed to hunt an area that has plenty of birds on properties where the landowners are great. This allows me to take a few friends and relatives out so they get great hunts, I get to call and inventory birds and then pick the one I want . That is unless your nephew has a 25 lber roost 30 yds from your set up, walk by at 2 yds and stomps three decoys, then he stands up over a brush pile and kills his first ever bird LOL. that is what I love about chasing these birds. They ignore you for weeks and then come storming in stomping decoys.
