A VZ 58 question, is it prohib?

I have heard a rumor that teh VZ 58 is going to become Prohib....if I have one now and only a restricted PAL, what is supposed to happen to the status of my PAL? Do I get grandfathered? Anyone have help for me...?

A variant approved by the RCMP and legally imported for sale by Marstar was subsequently seized by the RCMP, who arbitrarily decided to change their minds and declare this batch as prohibited. The ones already here have not changed in status. In fact, Wolverine has been bringing in the same model already approved, with no problems. I wouldnt worry too much about it.

John has had more than his fair share of problems with the RCMP, Canada Customs, and the Federal government.
It is time the Federal government, Canada Customs, and RCMP got back to dealing with catching criminals and smugglers rather than harassing and causing legal expense to law abiding citizens and businessmen.

I commend John for his patience and common sense in dealing with these matters. If it was illegal John WOULD NOT DO IT.
It seems it is getting more and more difficult for government employees to recognize an honest man. There are indications they are judging the public by the activities and standards of their bosses.

Sounds like a good excuse to convince all your friend to also buy one... The more guns out there, the harder it will be for the feds to pull a fast one!

While at it, you might want to stock up on ammo and spare magazines.

to the extend that i could understand, they are still stuck in the container until aprouval for release. So nobody can buy them.

They are Prohibs and will Remain Prohibs. Some parts were deemed unacceptable, possibly FA parts.
Marstar has sell them somewhere else. If there is any court action going on, it might have to do with getting the firearms released or a lawsuit (expenses).
Current models imported are just Restricted.

i just convinced three buddies who are not "black gun" types to get AR's monday, the threat of an election made them buy.
