Does anyone know of a rear site in the same style as the M16A1 or original C7 style that is available as a BUIS? Is there a carryhandle/site that bolts on to the rail available? I've seen pictures of a Diemaco attempt but don't know if it went anywhere.

I like iron sites, but I don't see the newer A2 style 3/8 site as enough of an improvement.

cncguns (check their website) has A1 type removeable carry handles. They come stripped, so you'll have to locate an A1 sight assembly to install into it. That's the only option I know of for what you're looking for. If you don't want the full carry handle, you can always chop it down into a BUIS - just as some do with the A2 handles "po-boy" style... Hope this helps.

Cheers,
hsld.

BTW, I've also always been a fan of the A1 sight set up. Much preferred shooting the C7 with irons over the flat top + Elcan....

Diemaco does have one, they are out there but I've never seen one in person.

CNC guns also made an A1 BUIS that didn't have a handle, don't know if he ever sold those ones though.

Larue makes a simple rugged non folding BUIS that would work well with a red dot.

Thanks Highspeed and Leg.
Wow, are they ever easy to deal with!

Now to see how long until the handle comes in, and to go figure who is willing to sell parts by Bushmaster for the A1 sight bits.

Is this the type you are talking about?

So Koldt, who do I have to sleep with to get one?

,,,and if I do get one, as Hungry would say, will my #### fall off?

I have a CNC handle and a CNC BIS.

The BIS is not ideal.

Stay tuned a reputable US manufacturer will soon have one - and you will all like it...
I've been sworn to secrecy but its a company that has a Cdn distributor...
