A2 buttstocks... is grey the old black?

All the quality ones are the fuzzy textured grey. The really cheap ones are black. They will turn black over time with oil and grease... some guys oil them to make them black.

Personally I don’t see the big huff to make sure they match the finish of the gun. Some extra colour is the spice of life!
 
Honestly I don't like the gray color with all my Black Rifle but I got to put up with it lol, I'm tempted to use krylon on it to get the black color but I always get the runs I'm going to try CLP on my one I have here

Good to know. Guess I'll stick with the battel grey finish. lol

Explain to me the “everything must colour match” mentality. Just out of curiosity. I noticed the same thing with mags. Everybody wants them to match the gun. I was having Dlask rebarrel my CZH2003 and was inquiring about getting it coated. “You probably want some mags coated to match?” No... I don’t see the point. “... your the first person in awhile that isn’t too concerned about matching coloured mags”

Maybe it’s just me. :)
