A2 Upper With Flip-up Front Sight On A Rail

I have an A2 upper that I'm looking at putting together with some sort of free floating front rail like an RIS or RAS. If I put a flip up front sight on the rail will it line up properly with the rear sight on the A2? I'm assuming so but hate assuming anything.

Why are you staying with the A2 upper if you're going to put a flip front sight? Why not go with a flattop and folding BUIS or just free float the A2 and leave the sight tower?

RIS & RAS are not free float rails...

Yeah may I ask why? The reason peoplle use flip up front sight is because they have optics mounted on the upper receiver. Seems like you got it the other way around.

I've only used Elcans and Acog's but neither was affected by the A2 FSB.

i think he is doing it the other way around.

i think he is installing a gas block with a flip site on the front, keeping the A2 receiver.

at least thats the way i read it....
