Hey all, anyone who has some real shooting experience with the Beretta A400 xcel Sport and the Benelli Supersport (not the performance shop model), mind chiming in here and letting me know your thoughts. Ive searched around on Shotgunworld and am now looking for some good ole Canadian opinion. :)

Im in the market for a trap/skeet/clay gun and think Ive narrowed it down to either of these if I choose to go the autoloader route. My choice seems to change between semi and O/U on a daily basis though lol.

Thanks

I have an a400 exel sporting 32" and love it. The 32" takes a bit to get used to the swing, but once you do it's great. The kick off is awesome. No recoil at all. Good luck with your decision.

I have a Sport II(the wood version of the Supersport) and I love it. It handles very well and points beautifully. I shoot 1 oz target loads and I put a pre-fit Limbsaver on it and I can shoot it comfortably all day. An A400 will be softer to shoot but I like the balance/simplicity of the Benellis. Both are excellent guns, get the one that fits/feels better, that should be your decision criteria not varying opinions from strangers on the internet.

Cheers,

Patrick

I totally agree, but hard to find one to shoot before a guy makes a purchase being in a small town. When I hit Edmonton I will be sure to shoulder each and try to get the best feel I can. Figure it can't hurt to hear people love/hate on them though

I have the Benelli SS and it's a fantastic shotgun, never had a problem with it.
Very easy to clean and will cycle everything from 24gr to 3".
