A400 Xcel plug removal and capacity

I just had a gunsmith call me and he tried his exact same model and was able to get 3 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber
Something is def wrong here. The gun shoots like a dream but will only take 1 in the chamber and as soon as I load the second one the " magazine trap locks closed "
 
Odd.

I have a 1301 comp based off the A400 action and I just restored it to completion mode from hunting mode. With plug removed and extension on it fit 8 in the tube and one ghost loaded.

I then put the correct plug in to make legal.

Sorry I'm no help. Have you made the gun safe and looked down the mag tube?
 
Reinstall the plug since in Ontario is that not a requirement only three
My guess the plug has something to do with keeping the mag follower straight or your follower is cracked hard to fix without seeing it

Maybe trying to load bullets in your shotgun has something to do with your problem.
Make sure the follower hasn't tilted or become stuck because of debris in the mag tube.
