Hey, are the hulls for the Winchester Super-x the AAHS hull? Or different. I'm buying for my new 28g, and want to keep the hulls the same if I can,I guess if they are different then they are still reloadable, just not as tough as the AA's, thanks

THanks, so are they the same hull, are is the load info just the same?
What kind of press are you using and how fo yoiu like it....I'm searching for a used one now, thanks

The hull appears the same to me as the AAHS one. I have been loading mine with 14.5 gr of Longshot, a 209 primer, and 3/4 oz of 7.5,8,or 8.5. Velocity is about 1200 fps.

I went on a trip down to the US a month ago while the dollar was still good and had troubles finding a 28 gauge press. I would suggest the MEC sizemaster if you want a single stage (which is what i would have bought but couldn't find one) or the MEC 9000GN which i am much happier i bought. I was only able to locate the 9000GN and the sales guy told me why to buy it over a single stage and it made a lot of sense. I would buy a press that resizes period. The 9000 can be slowed down to load like a single stag but has the ability when you get more comfortable to pump out 500 rounds per hour easily.

Hope that helps!

As a side note i spent a lot of time on shotgunworld.com doing my research.

As far as I know the two are the same hull. The earlier AAHS hulls were shorter. I would asume the earlier Super X hulls are shorter as well.I have had no trouble loading these earlier shorter hulls but some have had to ajust their loaders.

If you are not loading great amounts of hulls a single stage Mec would serve you well.
