Aaaand...I just shot skeet for the first time! Woo!

Skeet is a great game for working on the fundamentals: swing, lead and follow-thru. You really get to work on your finess which in turn ups your score. A good Skeet coach is worth his weight in gold. Once you get it down you are GTG.

However for pure fun & entertainment ... Trap & Sporting Clays beat Skeet hands down! The courses are never the same and neither are the challenges. It really sharpens your skills in a hurry, granted you need a good base to start with!

Technically, all trap (and skeet too) ranges should be "the same" except for the background pictures. 5 stand and sporting clays, on the other hand :) We have a great 5 stand here, and as far as I know there is a sporting clays range/trail but I've not shot it. I used to hate it when they moved the throwers around on the 5 stand. (*miss* Hey, that thrower used to throw straight across about 25 yards out, now it's flying 4 feet off the ground and landing about 3 feet off the corner of the house!) I now like it because it's different all the time :)
