Kudo's to the Club Directors for launching this new event. The IPSIC range was perfect for 5 lanes of CQB. Match was well attended (5 relays). The CRO and organizer (Andrew) soon discovered that giving shouted commands to a bunch of focused competitors who are both hard of hearing and wearing hearing protection is akin to ordering cats around. Apparently shouting the commands several times, with more and more expletives seems to help. By the end of the day he sounded just like Tim.

In my opinion any club that has an outdoor range at least 30 yards wide can safely present a CQB match. It is a great way to spend time with a rifle and pistol and to become proficient in shooting and manipulating them under time pressure.

Many of the usual suspects, plus a few new faces who were obviously expert shooters, plus a few newbies. The newbies fit right in and in no time at all they were making the same mistakes as the rest of us.

As for myself, I shot a CZ858 with a SPARC (red dot). First time trying that sight and I was shocked at how well it worked. The lack of an eye relief problem in the modified prone was a big bonus. My pistol scores, once again, sucked.

Sorry there are so few pictures. Battery died.
