Just a quick note to let you all know that the .22 club at Abbotsford Fish & Game Club is up and running again this year. We meet every Monday night at 7pm and shoot till about 8-8:30. This is a great way for kids or new shooters to get into the shooting sports or for old timers to practice their marksmanship over the winter. The .22 club is open to non club memebers as well and fees are VERY reasonable.
The club has rifles available to use or you can bring your own (rifles must be able to load single round from the breach & use only iron sights). We shoot SFC/RTS style (prone, kneeling & standing).

For more info check out the A.F.G.C. website http://www.abbotsfordfishandgameclub.org/

Or send me a PM for further details.

Cheers
Geoff

Hey Geoff,

I got your PM and I've been considering trying it. I have an old Cooey bolt action with irons so I would try it (ugly little bugger but a hell of a shot). I work nights (3 - midnightish) doing city deliveries for our highway guys (I drive truck). We'll talk Sat and I'm pretty sure I could work it out to work days on Mon to be home by 6 pm.

I've always loved .22s. Is there a restriction on ammo or is it a free for all (CCI Stingers in question, being higher velocity). I also have quite a few boxes of bulk Federal .22 if that's better. LR

Hey Matt,
No real restrictions on ammo as long as it's .22 rimfire. The emphasis for this club is safety, fun and marksmanship. By all means bring out the old Cooey, I have shot mine a couple of times on club nights and it doesn't do too bad for an old bunny gun. Also try out some of the club rifles to see what you can do with peep sights and a more 'target oriented' gun.

I will be talking to the club about running an extra day or 2 a month on a Friday night, Saturday or Sunday afternoon for people like yourself who can't make Monday nights.

Check your PM's about Saturday.

Cheers
Geoff
