Guys, today I shot my Abolt 300WSM at my backyard 300m (range finder distance) tree stump, with a large box sitting 1ft of the ground against the stump.
It was a warm day, 32 degrees C, with a light breezey wind, buy the time i shot it was calm an alot cooler.

The rifle, Browning A bolt 300 WSM with Redfield revolution 3-9x40 accuplex.
was firing 150gr Remington CoreLokt factorys

Heres a photo of my target, Aiming at the 4x4inch Black square, pretty self explanatory, This box has been shot all sides so some holes are from previous shots, theres a 22mag group, an a few exits up higher.
3 inch grouping , 6 inches low of Aim, 300meters

The first shot was cold barrel straight out of the safe, Then i shot the 3 with long intervals allowing the barrel to cool.
Needless to say I am loving this rifle more an more each time i shoot it, I started off hating it, with original recoil pad an 180gr pills, i downsized to 150s an applied a KIKEEZ recoil pad an cut a few coils off the trigger spring....
I couldnt give it away about 9 months ago, but now its got its place as a long'er range rig for deer.

I plan on stretching out the range quite a bit until im landing the pills just below the CIRCLE of the accurange reticle, as right now its still about half way down, which are rough guides, 300-400-500 etc but just for my personal use would like to know ...anywho

sorry for the :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: range report, just had to post these pics an contribute to the camp fire

Cheers

I don't care what anyone says, getting those big boomer magnums to shoot can take some time and fussing in some cases especially with sporter weight barrels. Looks like you have yours figured out! How do you like that Redfield Whelan?

Glen, for the price i cant complain, its not as good as My Loopy VX2 but its not far off.
I like how the reticle works in close but also has the long range marks.
the 1/4clicks are spot on also.

It sits very well on the Abolt an looks the part.

If i was lookin for a well priced scope for deer huntin, it would be hard to go past the Redfield revolution range, unless i had money to Blow!
