? about Smith #2006 Scope Mount

Got my smith 2006 mount today. Have a few questions during the installation.

1. This mount has three points secure base. I only used 2. the one in the front, I just screw it to touch the front top of receiver. Is this right?

2. The dovetail of the mount is not align with the receiver real dovetail. Also it's very tight, not like what is said on the installation directions from Smith. It says "ensuring that the dovetail moves freely in the receiver".

3 points of contact... the stripper guide dovetail, the threaded receiver hole and the machined grooves in the receiver hole area are your 3 points of contact. by looking at the pic it seems you have it mounted properly.

You need the dovetail insert that goes into the dovetail previously occupied by the stripper clip guide to be able to be moved freely during installation to allow the mount to not be cocked to the side while you tighted down the screw that holds the mount flat to the side of the receiver.
