The one type of such pad I had was a LimbSaver and Kamlooky, I did take the old pad to Del's shop and he had one that was about a 95% fit.
I want this pad for my little, "Eatons's of Canada Truline 100," thus, I wouldn't likely be able to get one designed for that rifle! It is a virtual clone of the Marlin Model 455, but they only made about a thousand of those rifles, back in the 1950s, with the FN Supreme action and Sako trigger, so they are not what could be called common. Marlin must have made a deal with Eaton's to put their name on a batch of them.
Thanks Baribal, for figuring out just what the rifle is. It sure is a sweet little rifle, hopefully, a long time family keeper.
I will be taking the old butt pad to the Kamloops gun show this weekend, so might find something.
