Access to Equipment Exchange

How do I gain access to the Equipment Exchange. I did this below and still not sure how to access it:

Go to your UserCP,
Click on Group Membership,
Select Join Group for Equipment Exchange Users Group and,
Click Send.

How do I know if I get approved or not? Thanks.

Just wait for your applications to be approved by a mod. It could take a up to a couple of weeks as they are busy people. You will receive a pm when you are approved.

Why do they make it so hard for someone trying to access the EE?

3 threads most recent posts in this section currently are asking how long for EE access. Do people not read other threads before posting? I guess there's going to be a glut of firearms hitting the EE soon, obviously.

There are only 3 Admins that do the approvals, usually 2.

How long ago do you hit the send button?

Yes I was in fact explaining why they make you sign up and manually approve you. And also why it may take a day or two.

Thanks, when I seen didsdale's reply I said to myself "Holy S**t! And this is supposed to be the Newbie FAQ section, I wonder what happens if I post a thread in a different forum".
