I’m wondering if there is much available in terms of accessories for the Benelli Supernova?

From what I’ve seen there’s the Mesa Tactical side saddles, but due to the forend having that shell button on the underside, there isn’t too much else available (?). I did see a YouTube video where a mag tube extension had a Picatinny rail mount (for flashlight, etc.), but that was on an 18” barrel, and I’ve only seen the 14” (or longer 24-28”) in Canada, so kinda unsure about having the mag tube extend several inches past… plus 14” is more tactiCOOL :d

My thoughts are that a workaround could be to use one of those 45° offset mounts, which could allow a light to be closer to the receiver; that could perhaps obfuscate the front sight, so not ideal but better than nothing.

Anyone aware of other products to consider?

Stocks and sidesaddles are about it besides extensions. Nordic makes fine extensions, I have one on my 28" field gun, 10+1 and the clamp they use is drilled and tapped so a section of pic rail can be added on. S&J makes a similar kit as well.

As for the 14" entry guns, there is a fairly lengthy thread buried somewhere in here about someone making or modifying an offset style light mount (under the magazine cap), and it had a lot of great information.

Thanks for the info, I did a search and think I may have found those.

Someone sort of did some DIY modifications and drilled/epoxied a mount into the forend, that could work as I have a dremel and a ton of g/flex epoxy.

There also was a thread about some special clip made by IWC that went on the barrel clamp / magazine cap, but that was for a M4, looks like it could work on the SuperNova Tactical (SNT), but there doesn’t appear to be a groove/detent on the SNT where it could properly seat. A light may still stick out past the end of the barrel; that may be a non-issue (similar if a mag tube extension were added), but the preference would be to not have that.

Once my PAL arrives in the mail (ETA ~1 week) and I can take possession I think I’ll first try the offset mount on the Picatinny rail closer to the receiver, and hope it doesn’t blind-out the front ghost ring sight. I picked up a NightStick LGL-150 from Rangeview Sports which includes both the perpendicular and offset mounts, and the price was pretty reasonable, so if it’s a failed venture at least it wasn’t too much $. Maybe I’ll upgrade to a Surefire eventually, but NightStick should be worth a try.

Also tempted to get the new Holosun AEMS, the lower co-witness will hopefully work with the ghost ring sights. And perhaps a longer and/or rifled barrel too, but from what I’ve read those can almost be the same cost as another shotgun.
