Hi. It's not an import issue. It's an export issue. Our side really only cares about collecting taxes. The U.S. side is afraid of terrorists.

Magazines fall under a couple of scary things. You can't import anything that is prohibited here. Like a 20 round mag for a rifle. And you can't export mags for certain firearms on the U.S. government's 'restricted for export list'. Most of those, but not all, are battle rifle mags. The sticky covers most of the rules.
