Accidentially stumbled upon an "extra-power" charging handle latch spring today
I just replaced the latch on a charging handle I have and I also happened to be cleaning a couple of SKS bolts with the Murrays firing pin spring installed.
I pulled the latch off, and much to my surprise, the spring that Murrays uses for his SKS firing pins is the exact same size (just 2 coils longer) then the spring for the charging handle latch.
I stuck the firing pin spring in the charging handle and it works great! It's just a touch harder to disengage, but I think it's a good idea because if it's harder to disengage the latch, that means it's also being held in place by more force, which means there's less of a chance that your charging handle could become dislodged accidentally.
Anyways, I thought it was worth mentioning here if anyone else is interested.
He sells them for a couple of bucks each on his website, just Google "Murray Firing Pin".
