accidently tumbled cases with new primer

threw all my 9mm cases in the tumbler this morning and didn;t notice that a bunch of them have new primers in them. they tumbled for about 2 hours. are the primers ok to be loaded?

More than likely you will have tumbling media in the flash holes. More than likely the round will still fire.

Make sure you have the primed and now tumbled cases empty of any loose media and load normally. You may get one or two that won't fire so be prepared for a hangfire drill.

I wouldn't use them for any important matches or qualifiers.

Why not? Media in the flash hole will not cause any problems, so yes fire away!

I've done it a couple of times by accident. They will all still fire.

Well maybe

I had 4 rounds for my 243 that I had the same happen and they did not fire. Do what you will but I would knock them out and reprime.

cycbb maybe you got some case cleaner in them or the anchor fell out? i had around 200 so i didnt want to waste all those primers. they all fired fine thankfully.

Flashlight and maybe magnifying glass for inspection?

Then compressed air if needed?
