Anybody use one ? What's the opinion , get one or stick with the bean bag ? I think i'd like one but i'm cheap and they are 100 bucks for the one that attaches to the rear sling stud and wondering if they are wobbly .

'Nuther question . Does anyone know of a place in Canada that i haven't called ? I've called several places that list them , but can't find one in stock north of the 49th .

:D:D:D Thanks Dogleg . I can't go a dime higher than $600.00 shipped .:D:D:D Now about Tina Turner ...

I have 2 of them and think they are rock solid. Only time I had an issue was when I attached it to a sporter style stock and it mounted crooked. They are ment to be mounted on a more robust, precision style stock.

I ordered my first straight fom the company, and the second from Wolverine.

Awe shyte . Between Dogleg and dfarrell , i now have two opposing opinions . It would be for the McMillan stock on my Savage . Hmmm ... will anyone second the motion ? Either motion .

As an expression of my sincere appreciation to those helping on the question , to monopod or not , i offer you this gift below , hoping and praying that you can stress relieve your barrel .:D:D:D

I have a mono pod and personally find a rear bag way more stable and way quicker to acquire my target . They are better then nothing but I think the bag is a better option

I have two as well.

My 2cents. I find it works awesome in the field laying in the grass but feels pretty wobbly on a hard firm surface like the bench.

I use a bag at the bench and the monopod in the field for my long range stuff.

Depends on where you do most of your shooting.

A monopod could be used in place of a rear bag in cases where a bag is not practical. To my mind, its common sense that most of us will find a bag more stable to use in those applications where a bag is suitable.

I have one on my Savage 10BA which has a Magpul G3 style PRS stock.
I find it too wobbly for bench use and will be purchasing a short rear bag soon.

I've got mine on a Choate Tac stock and it's a little shakey... or maybe it's just me. I think it would be OK for shooting gophers off a table but for putting holes in paper or banging gongs, I'll stick with a bag. Wolverine sent me mine pretty quick.

I have the cheapest one. Love it. I dont see how a sand bag could be better, BUT, that's just an opinion and I'm no pro, so someone who practices precision shooting would have a more valuale opinion for you.
If you have a good bipod and the monopod, it's all setup. just need to point it back to the target after each shot, no more fine tuning...or "fine squeezing" the sandbag to get it on target anymore.
I also would forget my sandbags all he time at home, lol.

I think the mono pod is a bit wobbly. You may also find their use probibited at some matches so, personally, I would invest in a good 'bunny ears' bag or, if tactical matches are in your future, invest in a good quality bean bag. If cost is really an issue use a sand-filled sock.

I bought one and do not like it on my centerfire rifle. Became just another part on my .22 to make it look cool. I wil say that on a .22 at closer range the wobbles don't matter so much and it works ok for that application.
