my buddy bought a 257 weatherby accumark and says that does'nt shoot very good.he said that he has a friend with the same gun and that he got rid of his for the same reason.they paid around $1800 for the weatherbies.i also got a friend with a remington sondero chambered fo the 300 ultra mag and he can cover 3 shots with a dime.i,m thinking of getting a 300 ultramag or 300weatherby.the remington is about $1200.what do you think?

I have a Sendero in 300 win. Payed less than $1000 for the previous model. A very good shooter! I would be hesitant to buy anything in a factory chambering 300 whtby. for super accuracy. Certainly accurate enough for most hunting situations but the inherant long throat makes it a little tougher to squeak every last bit of accuracy out of it.

I too hesitate when ever Wheatherby comes into a conversation... the first thing that comes to mind is how much extra cash am I going to have to shell out?
