I was wondering this if a muzzle brake affect accuracy? I suspect no but here is my real question is there a difference in accuracy between a cheap and pricey brake?

I ask cause I am thinking of buying a kel-tec muzzel brake for my first long range rig a savage 10 tr I have put a deposit on. I have the same brake on my rfb and I really love it! But it's a 50$ brake could the bore be of center by a hair and affect accuracy?

I did not notice an actual change in accuracy of the rifle, but what I did notice is that I shot more accurately due to no flinching on recoil, it did change my POI however. I don't know if any particular design or brand is better then others for retaining accuracy, but each type will be different for effectiveness, direction of gasses (relative to how the muzzle reacts on recoil) and overall shooter comfort being concussion of gas, pitch and direction or noise etc....

I've read on another forum that a guy put an AAC Breakout 2.0 on his rifle and his groups opened up significantly. Sounds suspect, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I've been curious about this topic as well as I just purchased a M700 AAC-SD.

where ya picking this up ?

There is a ton of tales on brakes floating around. I have had two different kinds and none at all on my 700. I did not notice any changes in accuracy what so ever. If anything as noted above a slight improvement do to less recoil.
