Have Accuracy International AE in .308.

Anyone mounting anything to/on buttstock?
Like range/data cards, scope info, ect?
Where to look at/purchase these items?
Can't remember where I have seen them.

Anyone using a buttstock ammo carrier/cheekpad on one of these rifles?
Anyone know of a brand of ammo carrier/cheekpad that fits the AI AE stock?
I know of Eagle and Blackhawk brands. Not sure if they fit the AI AE stock. Anyone know if they do or know of other options?

Anyone have any idea where some of the earlier manufactured 8 round magazines might be found? I have several of the five round mags. Looking for some of the 8 round mags. I know they made them. i have never seen them though.

Thank you. Dan

The range data cards you are probably best making up yourself on regular index cards, laminate them, then tape them to the rifle butt. Scope adjustments could be taped to the bell of your scope. I would hesitate to use a cheek pad if your stock has the adjustable cheek piece. With respect to magazines and ammo carriers you should contact Wolverine Supply.

Boomer. We think alike. I already have data cards made up and laminated and some colored tape on my elevation knob with markings for KD.

I have the AE model rifle and it's stock has no provisions for a check pad. The AW model rifle does have the cheek pad. The AW cheekpad will not fit the AE model. Most all of the Accuracy International accessories are for the AW model rifle.

Wolverine Supply informed me that they cannot get the eight round magazines.

I once saw a cordura cheekpad/ammo pounch on a web site that had a flip open pocket that had a waterproof see thru window to insert data cards in. When my computer went tango union I ended up losing my saved information.

I was hoping other AI owners may have some suggestions regarding the above gear. Just putting it out there to see what I can find out. Thanks.

Not sure. I spoke with Tom Irwin from Accuracy International months ago. He in turn put me in touch with a US sales rep who I spoke with at length about AI rifles, AW and AE models in .308 cal.

I can't find the name of the sales rep right now, I beleive his office was in Tennessee, but if I remember correctly the AW model was almost twice the price of the AE model.

I ended up buying the Accuracy International model AE in .308 with several five round mags from a local .50 cal dealer as he had the rifle in his shop near Camp Pendleton and for a fair price.

Anyway, I positively remeber the sales rep having told me at the time that AI did at one time manufacture eight round mags for the AE model, which is the model I have. He also told me that he didn't carry them anymore and they might be difficult to find now.

Of course now that I have recovered from the initial purchase cost a couple of years ago, I am searching to buy what I have already described as hard to get, hence I will end up paying even more for them now after anyone see's my babling about it.

As it turns out Accuracy International makes very few accessories for the AE model and a boatload of accessories for the AW model. Hindsight now. The darn thing does shoot great though. Much better than me. If they all don't go in the same hole it's not the rifle it's me.

My search for the AE eight round mag goes on. Looking at the five round mag I am almost certain that someone with such talents can probably make me a couple of eight or ten round mags. Thay are a single stack mag and fairly simple yet robust in design.

Well, here is another question then. Anyone know of a talented person who could make a new ten round mag or modify a five round mag into a ten round mag for the novelty of it?

Thanks. Merry Christmas.

I have one for orders, challenges, section names, schedules etc, for a C7. Think tried looking at www.kitshop.com and www.cpgear.com, but the pdf files kept crashing.

Maple Leaf,
That looks much like the what I remember seeing. I wonder how well it would fit an AI AE buttstock? Thanks for your help.
