Now that I figured out how to post pictures, I thought I would put one up of my latest aquisition. I havent shot her yet, so I cant make any comment other than "it looks really good". Enjoy.

My question is, how could you take her out in the woods without squeezing off a few?

Another question is, what glass are you using? Nice rifle!!

I didnt take her out in the wilderness yet. The picture was taken on my deck (I live on an acreage). The glass is an S&B MPII 3-12x50 FFP.

Nice lookin' rig!!! Let us know how you like the folding stock...I'm toying with the idea of that rifle in .338 but can't decide if I would go with a folding or fixed butt.
And a range report is a must:)

I'll give my personal review once I get the rifle up and running. I can tell you right now that the folding stock is VERY solid, no play what-so-ever when its locked in the shooting position. The quick adjustable cheek rest and butt pad is a nice feature since it allows reseting the rifle for prone, bench, sitting, etc very easily.

Finally got a chance to shot my new AW today. Took it to the range to get it sighted in off the bench. My first impression is that this rifle is simply amazing. I only fired a total of 15 rounds, and after pulling the trigger on the first shot I had an ear-to-ear grin. Here are a few of my comments:

This rifle is heavy, 18 pounds with scope and bi-pod. It weights a pound more than my TRG42 338 Lapua.

Recoil is VERY light. Staying on target for follow-up shots is going to be quick (especially from the Caldwell Tack-Driver bag).

Chambering a round from a full 10 shot magazine is silky smooth.

The S&B 3-12x50 scope is clear and crisp. I ordered the PMII with the normal P4 reticle, since I plan to use this rifle for medium range practical shooting, figured I didnt need the fine reticle. The normal reticle is a little coarse for maximum bench rest accuracy, but dialed down to a low power the FOV is huge and the cross hair doesnt get "lost in the bushes".

Parallax adjuster seems to have a much more noticable difference when out of focus than my NF scope.

I'll post some target results as I work up a load. Going to start with RE15, Sierra 175gr HPBT, CCI BR2 and Nosler brass.
