Construction-wise, yes - it's a very heavy and solid scope. I have a 4-16x50 PMII (no illumination, 1st focal plane, no double-turn) and that's what I've found; my only complaint is the rather sub-par anodized finish. It gets worn down to the underlying aluminum fairly easily.
