Hi All!!
I won a Leica 900crf from gr8fuldoug's camera land site, be sure to check him out - he's here somewhere.
Anyway, I am having trouble ranging with it past 600 yrds...
I have a steel plate 18"x22" set up on the back 40 (more like 160..)
With my SightronII and a Mildot Master, I am ranging the target at 650 yards. (and hitting it too, I might add!! These Sask winds can move a 178gr AMAX up to 3 feet at that range!!) The Leica is giving readings of 780 up to 810 for definite misses.
Does anyone else have problems with these or laser rangefinders in general at the far end of their range?
(Maybe the target's too small to lase at that distance...? I did get some readings out to 937 yards with this unit, so its seeing something out there....)
Thanks!

PS I am shooting a Savage 10FP in a Choate stock with my own special brand of .308. I wish I had a crony now to see how fast they are moving - I guessed at 2650fps for the drop tables, and I seem to be hitting at decent ranges...
