Accurate 22 Rimfires.

Not as accurate as stated by some. This 5 shot group is from a few weeks ago, best 100 yard group ever for me. Fired from a 10/22 I have built. Ammo was SK Standard Plus. Target was witnessed being shot but not signed.

Very good shooting!! This is a very realistic group at 100 meters. I have seen a large number of groups like this shot at 100. I have also seen [and shot myself] the odd "zinger" that is quite small. However, to say that 5-shot, .23" groups at 100 meters are plentiful, even with the best equipment, is ridiculous. The problem is the ammo. Even the best of the best display small variations. I have chronographed Eley Tenex, Eley Match EPS. Lapua Midas, RWS R50, and a large number of lesser 22 rimfire ammo. While the best is quite consistent, there are still variations in muzzle velocity that begin to tell by 100 meters. No matter how calm the day, vertical spread results from velocity variations.
I have been shooting long enough to recognize a horse turd when I see it. :D
Regards, Eagleye.

That's commendable shooting. Just a smidge over .4" after bullet size subtraction. Now you've got your work cut out for you to put a few more in.
Keep shooting !

This is a 200 yard ten shot group I fired with an old Model 37 Remington that was once owned by the great Jim Boa, then his son, Gil.
Both have gone to quieter ranges.
Gil traded this rifle to my father for an Anschutz position rifle IIRC ( the 37 is a prone gun) , but it was every bit as accurate as the Anschutz, according to my father.
This was shot with a Unertl 20X TRB scope, BTW, in a mild March breeze , off the bags.
My Martini INTL will also do as well, as will my Match54 and my Vostock free rifle.

I will put up $20 against your $10 and we will shoot 10 groups of 5 shots
I will put my money on Eagleye with his Remington against that Ruger you have, just have your $100 ready, and I know there would be many other shooters on this site would make same bet

At one time I was very heavy into BR50 shooting.
The bull is just under .50 - .440IIRC.
You had to be all the way inside the ring to score you 100 points, and do it 50 times, form 50 yards.
I have seen some great score which translate to great groups , but NEVER saw a 10.22 that came close to a well made bolt action or Martini Intl., no matter how blinged up it was or who was shooting it. .0625 MUST be a misprint, no?

I have done a lot of shooting at 100 and 200 yards with the best .22 target rifles and have never achieved .0625" groups at 100. Perhaps I lack the shooting skills of Chopper1 or could it be a vivid imagination.!! Sorry C1, but this claim defies belief.

I come back every month to check and see if those results have been posted for the 1/16" groups @ 100 yards. So far I've been disappointed. Still waiting patiently though, as they'd be something to see for sure. ck

Without ANY wind many rifles are capable of that level of performance at 100 yds.:bsFlag:

Eagle eye obviuosly has matched the Rifle from the start to what he wants and expects it to do. All the banter in this .22 forum is usually over 10/22's like mine or the like which are fun for plinking accuracy and someone spends a thousand bucks a plinker and don't understand why it will not group as his did.

Nice shooting Eagle. I would like to try one of those rifles someday. Only thing i had a chance to shoot was a Mossie 144 at 20 meters and i had a taste of the potential in a platform that was "dedicated for one purpose".
