First time working with this powder. Im shooting a Kriss Vector 10mm carbine, I found 2 good accuracy nodes at 13.3 and 13.8 grains with hornady fmj's 180 grain, starline brass,federal LP primers. Both loads are under hornady 11th edition max. I use the lyman gen6 powder dispensor and calibrate it before each loading session.
Primers still have roundness to them, the brass has some soot on it but im not worried about that,
The action has quite a bit of smoke coming out of the ejection port and even the mag has smoke coming out when I drop it after only 5 rounds ! Im not doing quick mag dumps or anything...is this normal for the powder? Could it be a bi-product of the strange blowback action? or a mix of the two?
The rounds are cooking fast though, 1527 and 1590 fps averages for the loads. Both sub 1.5 moa 5 shot groups at 50 yards, Can probably shrink that down once I get use to the long heavy trigger squeeze. ( im used to Tikka's with mcarbo springs and trigger tech triggers on my bolt actions)
