Had a new Savage 116 Weather Warrior barreled with a 28" stainless #5 Countour barrel and brake.
Shoots like ####..3 to 4"@100 with 162 to 175 gr different vld bullets The barrel is high grade 1 in 9 twist.
Is it likely the accu-stock is failing due to the barrel weight/recoil/excessive whip/harmonics?
Any one build a big mag and keep their accustock?
I have a 338 Lap. Savage LRH that's .5moa@400.

Do you have the actions screws torqued correctly? Savage suggests 40 in/lbs, lots of people have said 35 for the forward and 30 for the rear and the results are better.

Adjusted torque. Developed first bullet 168 gr. Accubond LR trying to find nodes. Found a .47 node but velocity is low. Trying different powder today.

Well, without having the same rifle as yours, I own a savage and they tend to put a lot of oïl everywhere before they ship their rifles to sellers/distributors. So first you shoud dismantle everything (I don't know if you have a rail for the scope on this model) to remove the thick oïl, and then re-assemble and torque everything properly, and put some blue locktite on action screws and rail screws.

Loose screws and loose mounts will throw your bullets everywhere. It would be my first thoughts...

Good luck!
